Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a tiny, little town that is a bit sleepy. People who don't understand about the place mistakenly think that it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. Actually it is the West Island includes everything westward from the city of Lachine. Amanda Brugel grew up on this island, and it is commonly called her birthplace. However, she only resided there for a very short duration. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa. At the beginning of her life, she wanted to be professional performer, however an unexpected increase in her height made it difficult. In an article published by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. When I grew out of my male dancers, I decided to quit. Brugel was one of many former dancers who shifted into acting. Her teacher from high school encouraged her in the right direction. The teacher who suggested she take on a part in the school's annual production. The school's production was a success and she was selected to play the lead part in Anne of Green Gables after she tried out. The show led her to receive the award of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program which she graduated with an Associate in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Since then, she's appeared performing in over 60 plays, smaller and large. Most notable was the time she was cast as Rita on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actress in Season 1 and only appeared occasionally.
