Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress also known as a producer, director and actress. She has been praised for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, like an Oscar for the film Piano. The accomplished actress started her career in acting on the stage by performing in a myriad of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. Since her childhood she's always been enthusiastic in the field of acting. She played Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. The actress was deaf in one ear following a bout of mumps but did not permit this to deter the determination of her to become an actor. When she was a teenager she studied drama, before moving to New York City. Hunter was trapped in the elevator of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They collaborated to create Broadway Crimes of the Heart in which Hunter made her Broadway debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began to look for film roles. The role she was offered came as an actress who played the leading character Swing Shift. For the past 30 years, she has appeared on various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
